Hyderabad Ratha Yatra on the 3rd January
The Ratha Yatra festival was celebrated by the extremely enthusiastic Nama hatta devotees of Kukatpally a city nearby Hyderabad to have Lord Jagannatha,
Baladeva and Subhadra to go out on the first Sunday of the New Year.
The deities were very opulently decorated. Sri Mayapur International Preaching Group was given a moving truck where they had their kirtan party and ecstatic dancing most of the time.
After the Ratha Yatra there Maha Arati, Kirtana and Bhoga offering which soon became the holiest Jaganatha Maha Prasadam.
Around 6000 Devotees attended mandal program including His holinesss sukhdeva swami
Kalvakuntla Kavitha was the chief guest for this event, the daughter of the K. Chandrashekar Rao the Chief minister of Telangana and is an Indian Member of Parliament and Telangana Rashtra Samithi party member.
Kavitha said "It is ISKCON which is propagating divine culture throughout the world, she appreciated ISKCON a lot and also promised that she would serve this divine movement."
